This year, the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb was delayed due to the wild fires in Colorado, but the race is approaching with lighting speed, as it is set to take place next week.
Audi seems to have been preparing a surprise move for us, as the automotive producer used Facebook to release a Pikes Peak-related teaser that shows an RS5. The carmaker only released the adjacent image, without offering any details. However, we’re expecting Audi to give us some extra details until the event takes place.
We’ll remind you that Audi previously announced the Walter Rohl will return to Pikes Peak behind the wheel of the the original Sport quattro S1. We’ll remind you that this is the car in which Rohl set a Pikes Peak record 25 years ago, with this set to stand virtually forever, since starting from this year the course is covered in tarmac, so the best time from the gravel era, Rohl’s one, now has a dedicated place in the history books.
